How your total WhatsApp cost works
- 1. Your Chatbox AI plan, a fixed monthly, quarterly or yearly fee for the platform: inbox, broadcasts, chatbot, automation, integrations and analytics.
- 2. Meta's message charges, paid per delivered message, by category. Chatbox AI passes these through at cost, with no markup.
- 3. Free messages: incoming customer messages, your first 1,000 service replies each month and replies within 72 hours of a Click-to-WhatsApp ad are free.
Example: a Growth plan store sending 5,000 utility order updates in a month pays ₹3,200 for Chatbox AI plus about ₹725 in Meta charges (5,000 × ₹0.145), plus GST.

How much does the WhatsApp Business API cost in India? Chatbox AI plans are Starter at ₹1,500/month, Growth at ₹3,200/month, Pro at ₹9,100/month and custom Scale pricing, plus GST. How much do I save with quarterly or yearly billing? Quarterly billing saves 5% and yearly billing saves 10%. Starter works out to ₹1,425/month quarterly or ₹1,350/month yearly, Growth to ₹3,040 or ₹2,880, and Pro to ₹8,645 or ₹8,190.
Can I add more agents? Starter and Growth include 1 owner and 5 agents, and Pro includes 1 owner and 9 agents. Extra agents cost ₹750 per agent per month on any plan. Scale is sized to your team.
Can I upgrade or downgrade at any time? Yes. You can change your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the next billing cycle.
Is there a free trial? Yes. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial, no credit card required, with full access to the features of the plan you choose.
Do WhatsApp message charges apply separately? Yes. Meta charges per delivered message by category and by your customer's country. Chatbox AI passes these through at cost with no markup.
